The LaFayette Institute of Nonviolence (L.I.O.N.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the life, legacy, and work of Dr. Bernard LaFayette, Jr., while advancing the principles and practice of nonviolence through education, training, and community engagement.

We invite you to support our mission through financial contributions and the donation of historical materials, photographs, documents, and other resources related to Dr. LaFayette’s work and the nonviolence movement.

Your generous donations help sustain and expand the Institute’s work by supporting:

  • The development and ongoing maintenance of the L.I.O.N. website.
  • The acquisition, preservation, digitization, and secure storage of historical documents and archival materials.
  • Educational programs and nonviolence training initiatives for future generations.
  • The establishment of a permanent home for the LaFayette Institute of Nonviolence in Tampa, Florida, where scholars, educators, students, and community members can study, learn, and carry forward the legacy of nonviolent social change.

Every contribution, large or small, helps preserve an important chapter of history and ensures that Dr. LaFayette’s teachings continue to inspire leaders and communities around the world.

Thank you for partnering with us to preserve the past, educate the present, and build a more peaceful future.

Online giving is being set up. Soon you’ll be able to support the Institute’s work in preserving 60+ years of nonviolence history and training.
